Bench Lid 12 in

The Bench Lid 12 in is a cast iron lid for a 31 cm rim: 31 cm across (12.2 in), 4.5 cm tall, 1.8 kg (4.0 lb), 4 mm thick, stainless steel knob. Drip rings under the lid return condensation to the pan, so a skillet of chicken thighs finishes moist and a wok of rice steams evenly. Enamel outside, in the three Hearth colors, over bare iron.

It fits the Hearth Skillet 12 in, the Forge Skillet 12 in and the Forge Wok 12 in. Rated for the oven to 260 °C (500 °F). Hand wash and dry fully before it goes away.

Questions

Does the 12 in lid fit the wok? Yes. The Forge Wok 12 in has the same 31 cm rim as the Forge Skillet 12 in and the Hearth Skillet 12 in, so one lid covers all three.

Can it go in the dishwasher? No. The rim is bare iron and will rust; hand wash and dry it fully. A wipe of Bench Seasoning Wax on the rim keeps it dark.

Is there a lid for the 8 in skillets? No. The Bench lids come in 10 in and 12 in; the 8 in pans are used open.
