Bench Lid 10 in

The Bench Lid 10 in is a cast iron lid for a 26 to 26.5 cm rim: 26.5 cm across (10.4 in), 4 cm tall, 1.4 kg (3.1 lb), 4 mm thick, with a stainless steel knob. Drip rings on the underside collect condensation and drop it back over the food, so a covered skillet braises the way a Dutch oven does. The exterior is enameled in the Hearth colors, Flint, Clay and Sage.

It fits the Hearth Skillet 10 in, the Forge Skillet 10 in and the Hearth Grill Pan 10 in. Oven-safe to 260 °C (500 °F). Hand wash and dry it fully, especially around the bare rim.

Questions

Does the lid fit the Forge Skillet 10 in as well as the Hearth? Yes. Both pans have a 26.5 cm rim, and the Hearth Grill Pan 10 in is 26 cm, so one lid serves all three.

How should I store it? Dry, and not sealed on a pan; leave a gap so air reaches the rim. The Bench Care Kit's cotton cloth dries the rim without lint.

Does it fit the Bright Saute Pan 3 qt? The saute pan comes with its own stainless lid, so this lid is not needed there. The Bench Lid 12 in covers the 31 cm pans.
